The image thumbnail template is meant as a substitute for regular images in thumbnails aligned to the left side; this is only intended if the desired image size in the thumbnail is larger than the maximum limit set by the size of the uploaded file. However, note when using the template that it has been set up as "float" and not "clear", as normal image thumbnails function in the form of "clear".
