Jefferson is a proposed state in far-south Oregon to northern California, covering 21 counties. It is a rural area, and the reason they want to secede from California is that the San Francisco and the Los Angeles Democrat strongholds dictate taxes for all of the beautiful State of California, which is being devastated by far-left Democrats such as Gavin Newsom, Eric Garcetti, and London Breed.
