Arrian or Arrian of Nicomedia (c.87-after 145 A.D.) was a Greek-born Roman historian. His work Anabasis of Alexander "is widely regarded as the most important historical source" on the military actions of Alexander the Great.[1] It is also evident in his writ that Arrian tried hard to imitate the style of Xenophon.[2]
