Windows 95 is a Windows Operating System, it released to the public on August 24th 1995, it was quickly replaced in 1998 by Windows 98. It had its last update in 1997. It is in the Windows 9.0x operating system family.

End of Support

Microsoft ended support in 2001 due to the release of Windows 98 and Windows ME (Millenium Edition), however Windows ME was criticised by critics for the stability and speed of the operating system.
