Walter Bagehot was an essayist and journalist,[1] best known for his book The English Constitution.
Bagehot was highly influential with Woodrow Wilson,[2] who described Bagehot as a "Wit and Seer" who was "one of the most original and audacious wits that the English race has produced".[3] Bagehot was hostile toward the American Constitution.[4]
