John Rousselot was a colorful conservative congressman from California, first elected in 1960 when he defeated a Democrat incumbent. He was an outspoken defender of the John Birch Society, and after his tenure in Congress he served as its president.
Rousselot served as "in the Reagan White House as special assistant for business matters, then served as Western states coordinator for Reaganâs 1984 reelection campaign."[1]
