The Stranger is the fifth studio album by musician Billy Joel, released in 1977 by Columbia Records. It became Joel’s first major breakthrough album, and produced hits such as Movin Out(Anthony’s Song), Just The Way You Are, Scenes From An Italian Restaurant, and more. It is Columbia’s best-selling album release, surpassing Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon and Garfunkel.
