The Critical Text is a Greek New Testament based on an influential publication in 1881, by Brooke Westcott and Fenton Hort, called “The New Testament in the Original Greek,” nicknamed “Westcott & Hort” for short.[1]

There are an estimated 5,000 Greek manuscripts of the New Testament that have been discovered and are available today.
