Gravitational constant

G is the universal gravitational constant: 6.67x10-11 N2/kg2. It is used in Newton's formula for the gravitational force between two objects, which is:

Force between two objects (N) = (G x mass of first object (kg) x mass of second object (kg))/distance between them2 (m)

"g" is the acceleration Earth's gravitational field exerts on objects at Earth's surface: 9.8 m/sec2.
