California air is the dirtiest in the United States. It is estimated that more than 90% of Californians breathe in unhealthy levels of air pollutants during each year.
High-intensity fires have depleted California forests while polluting the air.[1]
Wildfires pollute the air of California and surrounding states, sometimes extending as far east as the Mississippi River.
