Alfred Einstein (1880-1952) was a cousin of Albert Einstein, and an accomplished musicologist.[1] Like Albert, Alfred immigrated to the United States on the eve of World War II, in 1939. (Albert was granted permanent residency in the U.S. in 1935, and American citizenship in 1940.)
Alfred Einstein taught at Princeton, Yale, Columbia, and the University of Michigan.
