Decrypt

To decrypt is to convert encrypted text into its equivalent plain text by means of a cryptosystem. This does not include solution by cryptanalysis.
The term "decrypt" covers the meanings of "decipher" and "decode."
Mathematicians typically work on encryption and decryption.
