Doner kebab

A doner kebab (Turkish: turning roast) is a popular Turkish dish made with lamb, beef or chicken. The meat is cooked on a vertical rotating spit and then served in pitta bread with salad and lashings of hot chilli sauce. The doner kebab has become a staple of the British post-pub diet.
