Barron's is a financial publication founded by Clarence W. Barron in 1921 as the Barron’s National Financial Weekly.

Earlier, around 1902, Barron purchased the "Dow Jones & Co., including The Wall Street Journal, from its founders for $130,000 (equivalent to about $4 million today)."[1]
