Phonics school

Phonics school is a new type of school focused on teaching students to be superb readers based on phonics.
With optimal textbooks and a few dedicated teachers, it is possible that such a school could be successful with $80,000 in a rural area of the United States, and $100,000 in a more expensive area.
On an $80,000 budget for 20 students, a staff of 2 dedicated teachers could be hired with a no-frills classroom and no cafeteria.
Cost analysis
A parent can teach a child to read, but everyone does. There are advantages to having a tutor or phonics school provide that instruction.
The expense depends on the number of students:
- at only one student in the school, the cost would be $40,000 per student because one full-time teacher would be needed
- at five students in the school, the cost would decrease to around $10,000 per student because one full-time and one part-time teacher would be needed.
