In Genesis, Zilpah is Jacob's 4th wife and the handmaiden of Leah. As part of Rachel and Leah's rivalry, Leah had Jacob marry Zilpah after Rachel had done the same with Bilha. Jacob and Zilpa have two children, Gad and Asher.
