She is devoutly Catholic and attended a Catholic high school. She is outspoken about her faith, and prays and attends church often.[1]
She said about her education at Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines, Iowa:
| “ | We get to live our faith every day. Dowling starts every day with prayer and ends every day with prayer. This is a big reason why Dowling has such a special culture and is such a special place to go to school.[1] | ” |
