Unique to the Gospel of John

Unique to the Gospel of John are the following:
- no parables or exorcisms, in contrast with the other Gospels;
- its time period is somewhat different from the synoptic Gospels;
- it is more favorable to Samaritans and more hostile to Judeans;
- it places Jesus's ministry more in Judaea;
- it has greater emphasis on eternal life; and
- it contains more theological discussions by Jesus.
