Monsters, Inc.

Monsters, Inc. is a 2001 animated film by Pixar starting John Goodman as James P. Sullivan "Sully" and Billy Crystal as Mike Wazowski. The film takes place in the city of Monstropolis, inhabited by monsters. The Monsters use the screams of children for energy, with Sully working as one of the scarers, and is the top performer. As a human child gets stuck in the Monster's world, and Sully discovers her, its up to Mike and him to save her, as the monsters see her as a threat. As the movie progresses they learn they are kidnapping Boo in order to extract her screams, and the kidnappers are just crony capitalists. They then banish Sully and Mike, in order to hide their crime. However the heroes return to not only save Boo but the corporation itself after learning they can use the kids laughter which is more powerful then screams for energy.
