Macedonia is a geographical and historical region of south-eastern Europe. It is located on the Balkan peninsula. Its exact boundaries are disputed, but is generally agreed to contain the country North Macedonia, a large area of northern Greece, as well as some areas of Albania, Kosovo and Serbia.
