Cambridge is a university city and the county town of the county Cambridgeshire, England. It is located approximately 60 miles north of London in the flat and marshy fens of East Anglia, and is surrounded by a number of smaller towns and villages.

Cambridge is best known for the University of Cambridge, one of Europe's few universities consistently around the top of the world rankings, and is strong in both arts and sciences. Founded at the start of the thirteenth century, it is Britain's second-oldest university after Oxford, and many of the buildings and attractions which make Cambridge such a popular tourist destination are part of the university and its colleges. The city also contains the less prestigious Anglia Ruskin University.

Cambridge has a non-student population of 124,000, to which we can add 30,000 during semesters. The university drives industry and technology startups and multinationals which are growing from the intake of talent and capital in the area around Cambridge known as Silicon Fen, which accounts for a quarter of UK's venture capital.
