Euthanasia is the deliberate killing of a disabled, terminally ill or elderly person. Under Anglo-American law and most religions euthanasia is treated as murder.
Some liberals support euthanasia, and have succeeded in legalizing it The Netherlands and, upon advice of physicians, in Oregon.
An example of euthanasia was the withdrawal of a feeding tube from the disabled Terri Schiavo with a court order prohibiting anyone from bringing her water.
