The term “meat grinder” in military conflict refers to battles or campaigns characterized by extremely high casualties, relentless attrition, and little strategic gain. It’s often used to describe situations where soldiers are fed into combat with devastating losses, evoking the image of human lives being chewed up like meat in a grinder.
