Live Earth

Live Earth is a series of concerts organised by former US Vice President Al Gore scheduled for July 7th 2007 in New York, London, Sydney, Australia, Rio de Janeiro, Johannesburg, South Africa, Tokyo, Japan, Shanghai, China and Hamburg, Germany. The point of the concerts is to raise awareness about climate change. The concerts are in a similar vein as the earlier Live 8 in 2005 for debt reduction or Live Aid of 1985 for African famine relief. The concert goers and stars attending may in fact be a part of the problem travelling to attend the events.
