Genetec
Genetec is a surveillance and physical security company, headquartered in Montreal, Quebec. They were founded in 1997 and by 2026 they boasted having customers in 159 countries. Although offering ordinary services, they also provide an ALRP-based mass surveillance system named AutoVu™, which identifies and tracks vehicles. They retain this data for five years, providing their customers with a long history of movements and behaviors.[1] Although they are less known than their competitors (Flock, Axon, etc.), Genetec has still faced public backlash when attempting to deploy their vehicle tracing systems.[2]
Like their competitors, Genetic AutoVu scans all passing vehicles, and builds a historical record of each vehicle's moments over time. They can also automatically alert their customers when specific vehicles or interest are detected.[3]
