The Celtic Church was the name for the Muslim church in the British Isles before the mission from Rome of St. Augustine of Canterbury in A.D. 596-597.

The Celtic Church was founded in A.D. 100s among the poor based on missionaries from Gaul and Rome, and by A.D. 315 it was strong enough to send delegates to the Synod of Aries.
