Broadway

Broadway is the name of a street in Manhattan, New York City, known for its concentration of theatres; hence, 'Broadway' is a term used to describe popular (and especially musical) theatre in New York and the United States, in much the same way the 'Wall Street' is used as a synonym for the US financial sector.
