The orca or killer whale is the largest species of the dolphin family. Some orcas are kept in captivity and trained to give public perfrmrances.
Orcas are the largest marine carnivores and in packs will even attack larger whales. Although many groups suffice on fish they are opportunistic predators and often prey on seals, sealions and walruses, particularly during the breeding seasons.
Orcas are found throughout the world's oceans.
The movie Free Willy featured an orca as the title character.
