Bunker Adjustment Factor

The Bunker Adjustment Factor (B.A.F.) is a payment adjustment used to compensate shipping lines for fluctuating fuel costs.[1] Originally derived for steamships, with coal bunkers, it is also sometimes referred to as the Fuel Adjustment Factor (F.A.F.)
