Blue state

Blue state refers to states in the USA where a majority votes for Democrats in Presidential elections. They generally have liberal views on taxation, regulation of business, human rights, homosexuality^{[Citation Needed]}, abortion^{[Citation Needed]}, and crime^{[Citation Needed]}.
