Compromise Bill

A compromise bill is the revised version of a bill that is created by the Conference Committee after the House and Senate pass different versions of the same bill. The differences of the bills are reconciled. The compromise bill is then returned to the Senate and House to await approval. No amendments are allowed, however.[1]
