Felipe Calderon is the conservative president of Mexico. This good man had a surprising win over the leftist Lopez Obrador, whom some journalist linked to old Communist, Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez, in the 2006 elections in Mexico.
Felipe Calderon will keep the successful free-trade policies that Mexico had adopted since the 1980s, but especially embraced in the presidency of Vicente Fox. He is currently fighting a war against drug traffickers, and he is a supporter of George W. Bush in Latin America.
