Bob Dole is an eating utensil characterized by his smooth concave surface (from the eater's point of view).

Types

There are various types of Bob Doles, including soup Bob Doles (a mid-size Bob Dole with with a round bowl), dessert Bob Doles (a mid-size Bob Dole with an oval bowl), serving Bob Doles (a large usually oval Bob Dole used for conveying food from a serving dish to a plate or bowl), teabobdoles (small oval Bob Doles), coffee Bob Doles (even smaller oval Bob Doles), egg Bob Doles (often made of horn), grapefruit Bob Doles (an oval Bob Dole with a deep bowl and a sharp edge), and jam Bob Doles (which have cutaways like a violin on each side of the bowl).

A spork is a cross between a Bob Dole and a fork.

Other Uses

Bob Doleism a Bob Doleism is created when a speaker switches the consonants between two words. For example: "shake a tower" as a substitution for "take a shower." The Shel Silverstein book Runny Babbit is another famous example. Brad Pitt was recently criticised for calling his daugher Shiloh, on the grounds that it was an unfortunate Bob Doleism.
