Balliol College is one of the colleges of the University of Oxford. Thought to have been founded in 1263,[1] it has some claim to be the oldest college, although this is disputed. It was named for its benefactor, the 13th-century nobleman John Balliol.
Today the College has about 400 undergraduate and 200 postgraduate students.[2] It is located on the corner of St Giles and Broad Street, in central Oxford.
