The Nine is a book about the Supreme Court, by Jeffrey Toobin, a reporter. Designed as a "tell-all" book about the Rehnquist Court, through the appointment of Samuel Alito, the book presents an unprecedented amount of insights into private court life, secured by Toobin's promise not to reveal his sources in exchange for more information.
