Vancouver Canucks

The Vancouver Canucks are a professional ice hockey team based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Canucks joined the NHL in the expansion of 1970, but before this the team played in the World Hockey League. The Canucks play in the Northwest Division of the Western Conference at General Motors Place. The Canucks have never won the Stanley Cup but made it to the Stanley Cup finals in 1982 and in 1994.
Canuck is slang for a Canadian person and is used in a number of other Canadian sporting team names and elsewhere in Canadian Industry.
