Poland
Poland is a mid-sized country in eastern Europe. It has suffered many hardships before and after the World War I and II. It was ruled by the communist regime and finally liberated in the 1980's. Pope John Paul II was from Poland and was a major part in bringing down communist Poland.
Poland was a member of the "Coalition of the Willing", allies of the US in the Iraq War, contributing a peak of 2,500 troops.
The Polish Isles
The Polish Isles are a little known small grouping of islands off the northern coast of Poland comprising Poznod, Lubstock and a number of smaller islands.[1] The term Polish Isles, whilst generally used in Poland and elsewhere in the world, is disputed and considered objectionable, as the islands are disputed and share territorial maritime limits with Russia.
