Antonio Vivaldi

Antonio Vivaldi was a Baroque composer more famous during his time as a violinist.

He was a prolific composer of concertos, operas and chamber music. He suffered from a childhood disease, which was presumably asthma. This affected his life to a certain extent. His most famous work is the series of violin concertos The Four Seasons.

His father who was a violinist trained Vivaldi in violin and compelled him to become a priest, a position he moved away from after being ordained. His music was quickly forgotten after his death, the interest was revived only in the early 20^th century.
