A fluoroscope is a machine that uses x-rays and a fluorescent screen to display images in real-time. In modern machines the screen may be replaced by a special camera and a computer display.

This process is used for bagge scanning at airports, examination of packages in mail rooms, bomb squad, or for medical use.
