Murder is the deliberate ending of the life of another human being.
The Bible explicitly forbids murder in the sixth of the Ten Commandments.
The Bible also appears to condone it in other places in the Old Testament, such as when the Israelites are commanded to eliminate every living thing in Canaan. However, since it is impossible for the Bible to contradict itself, it must be assumed that the destruction of sinful peoples, if commanded by God, does not count as murder.
