The Obama Administration refers to the anticipated government under President elect Barack Obama. This Administration will come into effect immediately upon his inauguration on January 20, 2009.

Cabinet

Obama has proceeded rapidly with Cabinet choices, unlike many of his predecessors. His transition team has announced some of his expected appointments and leaked others. Overall, it appears that he is drawing heavily on Clinton era appointees to fill his Cabinet, which has displeased many of his supporters.
