Usufruct
This is an old revision of this page, as edited by CPalmer (talk | contribs) at 19:48, December 12, 2008. It may differ significantly from current revision.
Usufruct is the legal right to the use of property and the harvesting of its fruits, but not the right to dispose of the property. With regard to real property, it is vaguely similar to the common law life estate. Usufruct is a civilian legal term taken from the French Napoleonic Code and currently in use only in Louisiana.
