Liberal Hawk

A Liberal Hawk is a person who is socially liberal but supports a strong hawkish foreign policy. Past U.S. presidents Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, John Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson have been described as liberal hawks for their roles in bringing about America's status as the world's premier military power. Of course because they are liberals they will only use force to defend liberal ideals as well as use deceit to enter wars.
