Short story

A short story is a literaery form, a piece of prose fiction that is short in length (shorter than a novella or a novel). Although the short story is currently out of fashion, many eminent authors have composed them, including Ernest Hemingway, James Joyce, P.G. Wodehouse, Katherine Mansfield, William Trevor, Charles Dickens and many others. The author Damon Runyan is known for his humorous short stories.
