A white rose

A rose is either a thorny, flowering shrub or the flower of that shrub. The leaves are pinnately compound, having pairs of leaflets along an axis with a single leaflet at the end. Many cultivated varieties have double flowers. Roses are used as ornamental plants in gardens and for cut flowers and rose oil. Roses come in many varieties and colors. Red roses are often given as a symbol of love, especially on Valentine's Day.
