Adolph Sutro

Adolph Sutro was a Jewish-American San Franciscan who served as the 24th mayor of that city. Sutro was born in 1830, in Prussia, before immigrating to the United States at the age of 20. He served as mayor for only two years, between 1894 and 1896.
