Jessica Smith was the widow of Harold Ware, the controller of a very large group New Deal braintrusters and economists in the administration of Franklin D. Roosevelt who were in fact agents of the Stalinist Soviet Union.
After the death of Harold Ware in an automobile accident in 1`935, Jessica Smith married KGB Agent John Abt.
