Erwin Rommel

Erwin Rommel was Hitler's most trusted field marshall during World War II. He was noticed by Adolf Hitler in 1937. He was then appointed command of HQ of Czechoslovakia and then later in Poland. After this he was given command of the 7th Panzer division, because of his wondeful work at HQ. His army moved faster and farther than any other army in the history of the world, fitting the description of Blitzkrieg. After his great leadership in France he was appointed command of the newly formed Deutsches Afrika Korps successfully drove the British 8th Army out of Libya. He later went on to El Alamein, Egypt, were he was defeated. He is known as the Desert Fox. He committed sucide after being discovered of plotting against Hitler and being charged of high treason.
