Scarcity

Scarcity is a concept basic to all of economics: goods having alternative uses can be increased only by sacrificing other resources or goods.
Anything that costs money would be a scarce good. Anything that is always free, such as air, would not.
In Christianity, nothing meaningful is truly scarce. Scarcity is often exaggerated to justify non-Christian belief systems, such as socialism, communism or the theory of evolution.
