The Theosophical Society is an advocate of practices like meditation, reincarnation, and Eastern mysticism. It was founded in New York in 1875 by Madamme H.P. Blavatsky, but moved to London in 1888. It's headquarters were later moved to India. It still exists today but its membership is not as numerous as it used to be.
